The Hope International men's outdoor track and field team wrapped up their season at the NAIA Championships on Thursday afternoon in Marion, Indiana.
Teddy Ochieng continued his season by competing in the Long Jump at the Oxy Invitational held at Occidental College on Saturday, May 6th. Ochieng was working on a few things in preparation for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships held May 24-26 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
First year Track & Field athlete and Long Jump School Record Holder, Teddy Ochieng, improved on his personal best and school record in the long jump by over 18 inches to finish in 2nd place at the GSAC Championships and qualified for the NAIA National Championships. On Ochieng's 3rd attempt of the competition in the preliminaries he jumped 23' 6¾" (7.18m).
The Hope International University men's track and field team continued their season with a strong performance at the Beach Invitational from April 14-15 in Long Beach, CA.

Emma Timmermans, Arlene Magana, and Ash Carabes all qualified for the Finals in the 1500m by finishing in the Top 12. Emma cruised in with a 6th place finish, Arlene and Ash finished in 10th and 11th place. All three have the potential to score and run Personal Records tomorrow in the Finals.
