Hope International University announces Five Track and Field Athletes Recognized As NAIA Scholar Athletes

Five members of the Hope International women's and men's track and field team have been recognized as meeting NAIA Scholar Athlete requirements.

Aurora Couto, Sofia Gutierrez, Arlene Magana, Emma Timmermans and Jeffrey Verne all received recognition after meeting the standards laid about the NAIA. To be recognized a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
