Todd Zakreski named 2026 Advocate of the Year by Waukesha County Business Alliance

Todd Zakreski, President of HUSCO Automotive, was named the 2026 Advocate of the Year by the Waukesha County Business Alliance on June 11. Zakreski has led HUSCO Automotive, a division of HUSCO International based in Waukesha, since returning to the United States in 2007 after leading operations in the United Kingdom and India. Under his leadership, the automotive division has experienced continued growth and expanded production.

Zakreski is recognized for his advocacy within manufacturing. He previously served as chair of the Waukesha County Business Alliance’s Manufacturing Executive Council, working with local business leaders to address challenges and opportunities in manufacturing. As past chair of the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, he has promoted technology adoption, workforce development, and process innovation among small and medium-sized manufacturers. He has also testified before the United States Senate about investing in domestic manufacturing and strengthening supply chains.

In his testimony before Congress, Zakreski spoke about HUSCO’s involvement with workforce initiatives such as Schools2Skills for students. The article notes that throughout his career he has advocated at local, state, and federal levels on behalf of American industry.

The Advocate of the Year award was created to honor Bart Adams and recognizes individuals who have shown dedication to making Waukesha County a vibrant community.
