Waukesha County Business Alliance announces 2026 award winners
The Waukesha County Business Alliance, Waukesha County, and the Waukesha County Center for Growth announced on June 9 the recipients of the 2026 Waukesha County Awards, recognizing businesses and nonprofit organizations with a significant presence in the county.
ABB was named Mega Business of the Year. ABB is a global technology leader specializing in electrification, automation, motion systems, and sustainable energy solutions. In 2024, ABB began opening its new $100 million manufacturing campus in New Berlin to expand U.S. production of industrial electric drives. The facility brings more than 700 employees to the site and was projected to add an additional 100 new jobs over three years.
OwnersEdge received Large Business of the Year honors. OwnersEdge is a Wisconsin-based, employee-owned holding company that partners with businesses delivering technology and infrastructure solutions through six operating companies serving manufacturers, healthcare providers, data centers, Fortune 500 companies, and public safety agencies.
Superior Crane Corporation was recognized as Medium Business of the Year. Headquartered in Waukesha for 150 years, Superior Crane manufactures material handling equipment including overhead cranes and hoists. The company recently invested $7 million in a new facility to support continued growth within the county.
Sky High Marketing was named Small Business of the Year for its evolution from a local t-shirt provider into a full-service branded merchandise agency with national reach through partnerships with sports organizations and corporate clients.
The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County received Nonprofit of the Year recognition for its role supporting community health and workforce development strategies such as out-of-school care programs and career pathways. In 2025, it served more than 55,000 individuals across the area.
The award winners will be celebrated at the Alliance’s 108th Annual Meeting on September 17 at Brookfield Conference Center. Registration for this event is now open.
The Waukesha County Business Alliance works to strengthen the local economy by representing more than 1,200 member companies employing over 120,000 people in diverse industries throughout Waukesha County; it focuses on advocacy efforts aimed at driving economic growth through development initiatives while serving as primary advocate for businesses in promoting prosperity within the region, according to the official website.
