Hope International University announces Timmermans Smashes Another Record

The Hope International women's track and field team continued their season at the Bryan Clay and Beach Invitational on April 14-15 with more great performances.
Sophomore Emma Timmermans improved on her school record in the 5,000m yet again. This time she lowered it by 23 seconds. Timmermans now owns 6 of the Top 10 times in School History in the event. She also broke the 1,500m and 3,000m school records this year. Timmermans raced at the Bryan Clay Invitational held at Azusa Pacific University on April 14.
The rest of the Women's team competed at the Beach Invitational held at Long Beach State University. Freshman Rayanne Dietrich competed in the 200m running 27.81 and finishing 5th in her heat. Dietrich also ran the 400m in 62.60 winning her heat and running a PR. Arlene Magana, Ash Carabes, and Aurora Couto all ran the 5,000m at the Beach Invitational running 19:46.04, 19:47.40, and 20:12.55 respectively. Carabes ran a season PR.
The Women's Track & Field team competes next at the GSAC Championships hosted by Westmont College held on April 27-28.
