Hope International University announces Eight Royals Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Fullerton, CA - Seven members of the Hope International women's basketball team and one member of the Hope International men's basketball team have been named 2022 Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes as announced by the NAIA office on Tuesday afternoon.

Calla Anderson, Casey Fust, Keira McNamee, Mia Heidt, Rachel Capinia, Surie Camacho, Ysabelle Hallemano and Sebastian Castro all received the award after meeting the standards laid about the NAIA. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
