WORCESTER -- For the second day in a row, unplayable field conditions in Cambridge has forced the postponement of half of the opening two rounds of the NEWMAC Softball Tournament, with the games shifted to Friday but the game will now be moved to WPI.

Fourth-seeded WPI will get action started at 2:30pm with a matchup against fifth-seeded Babson.  The winner of that contest will face top-seeded MIT at around 4:30pm, also in Worcester.

All three teams will have a quick turnaround with the action continuing in the double-elimination tournament on Saturday at MIT.  The first of four games Saturday is slated to begin at 10am.  Second-seeded Springfield captured a winner's bracket semifinal game on Wednesday and Coast Guard and Wheaton will each enter Saturday with one defeat.
