Women's Basketball Defeated on the Road

ALAMOSA, Colo. --- South Dakota Mines women's basketball faced Adams State on the road on Saturday and fell 78-64.
 
How it Happened – The first quarter was a back-and-forth battle, but Adams State would hit a pair of free throws to take a 17-15 lead into the second.
 
Early in the second, the Grizzlies' would gain some momentum, taking a 29-21 lead, and would go into halftime leading 37-24.
 
In the third, the Grizzlies momentum would continue as they would outscore the 'Rockers 28-17.
 
In the fourth, the Hardrockers would begin to chip away, scoring 15 straight with three three-pointers from Piper Bauer, but the deficit still stood at 74-61 and was too much for the 'Rockers to come all the way back as they fell 78-64.
 
Notes – Bauer led the Hardrockers with 20 points…Lauren Herman grabbed eight rebounds…Piper Bauer and Sydnee Durtsche each added six rebounds.
 
Up Next – The Hardrockers play a single game next week, taking on Western Colorado on the road at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
