Wilmington University announces Wilmington Seeded 4th at NCAA DII Softball Championships; Faces No. 5 Grand Valley State in Opening Round
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - - The field is set for the 2023 NCAA DII Softball Championships and the Wilmington University softball team is seeded fourth overall among the eight teams at the final site. The Wildcats will face No. 5 Grand Valley State in the opening round announced by the NCAA.
The Wildcats and Lakers are set to meet in the opening round on Thursday, May 25, at 1:30 p.m. at Frost Stadium at Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The 1:30 p.m. start is Game 2 of the NCAA DII Softball Championships.
It is the first appearance at the College World Series for the Wildcats while the Lakers are making their sixth appearance in program history, including the third trip in the last four seasons.
