University of Wisconsin announces Steven Sanicki Earns All-GLIAC Honorable Mention for the 2022-23 Season
KENOSHA, Wis. --- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference announced their conference awards for the 2022-23 Men's Golf season. Senior Steven Sanicki was the lone honoree for the Rangers as he earned All-GLIAC Honorable Mention following his tied for 14th finish at the GLIAC Championship.
Steven, the four year member of the Men's Golf team at Parkside, holds numerous records for the team as 91.7% of all his rounds counted for the team score. He is tied for fourth in par or better rounds in one season with six in 2022-23 thanks to 61 birdies. This season, Sanicki averaged 3.206 on the par threes, good for fourth best in school history. He also has three 69's (-3) in the record book for low rounds.
In the fall season, at the Kentucky Wesleyan College Invitational at The Pearl Club, Sanicki earned medalist honors after shooting a five-under 139 for two rounds. His two-day score is the second lowest in Parkside school history. Steven was also a key piece in the Rangers lineup that set a new school 36-hole total with a 574.
Sanicki held a 75.78 career scoring average during his four-year career at Parkside, including a 74.9 average over 24 rounds in his senior campaign.
