RICHMOND, Va. — The Richmond Spiders Women's Track & Field team will send six individuals to the ECAC Championships at George Mason this weekend.

After winning the 1,500 meters at last week's Atlantic 10 Championship, Madison Trippett will attempt to add another title in the 1,500m Saturday. Trippett will race alongside teammate Brooke Reif in the event.

Three Spiders will race in Saturday evening's 800 meters: Kyra Keurentjes, Kate McAndrew, and Kayla O'Connell. Keurentjes won a silver medal in the event last weekend at the Atlantic 10 Championship, while McAndrew finished fourth and O'Connell placed fifth.

On Sunday, Elke van der Westhuizen will race in both the 200 meters and 400 meters. Van der Westhuizen finished fifth in the 400m at the A-10 Championship, running a personal-best 55.26 seconds.

Trippett, O'Connell, McAndrew, and Keurentjes will compete in the 4 x 800 meters relay, another event won by the Spiders at the A-10 Championship. Richmond won the 4 x 800m title at the 2021 ECAC Championships, with McAndrew and O'Connell both earning a gold medal.

Results from the event are available here.
