University of Richmond announces Buendia Named to CSC 2023 Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The University of Richmond Women's Tennis team has the honor of highlighting senior Marta Buendia on the College Sports Communicators 2023 Academic All-District Women's Tennis team, announced Tuesday.
The 2023 Academic All-District Women's Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Buendia, a Madrid, Spain native, finished the season with a 5-12 mark in singles play and a 10-15 record in doubles action and helped the Spiders to a 10-15 record this year along with a 3-2 mark in Atlantic 10 action and an A-10 Championship semifinal appearance.
