University of Nevada-Reno announces Pack falls game two against the Rams
RENO, Nev. - Nevada Softball dropped game two against Colorado State, 7-4, Friday afternoon.
Chelie Senini broke her own Mountain West record for stolen bases in a season with 49. Senini is now the nationwide leader in that category.
Junior Blake Craft started the game in the circle for Nevada and lasted four innings. Craft allowed seven hits and three runs before being relieved by fellow junior Tyra Clary. Clary spent the final three innings on the rubber and allowed four more runs on just three hits.
Nevada started strong after allowing a run in the top of the first inning. In the bottom half, Aaliyah Jenkins sent a three-RBI home run over the left field wall to drive in Bridgette Gilliano and Charli Hawkins for a 3-1 lead.
In the third inning, Haley Painter crushed the Pack's second home run in the game, also over the left field fence, which extended the lead to 4-2.
The Rams held Nevada scoreless in the last four innings. Colorado State scored five runs in that span, taking the lead to close the game 7-4.
