GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three members of the Trinity University women's golf team were named to the Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators today.

Tiger juniors Lucy Hanson (Gilbert, Ariz. / Campo Verde) and Kiona Hsiu (Missouri City, Texas / Elkins) were joined by sophomore Kate Schulle (Cedar Park, Texas / Cedar Park) on the team for the 2022-23 season.

Schulle earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Honor Roll recognition last year and will repeat that honor this spring.

Hansen was named a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar in 2022 and is in line to earn her third SCAC Academic Honor Roll award this spring. She earned First Team All-SCAC honors this spring and has also made the Trinity Dean's List.

Hsiu has earned WGCA All-American Scholar honors each of the past two seasons and was also named a WGCA All-Region golfer in 2022. The 2022 SCAC Golfer of the Year is a three-time First Team All-SCAC selection, who has earned the SCAC Golfer of the Week award seven times in her career. Hsiu is a two-time SCAC Academic Honor Roll member who will collect a third such award this year, and she has also earned recognition on the Trinity Dean's List in all six semesters at Trinity.

Trinity won its third straight SCAC Championship title this season and made its second straight appearance at the NCAA III Championships in 2023. After narrowly missing the cut last year, the Tigers tied for 12th at this year's NCAA Tournament – the best finish in school history.
