Trinity College announces Trinity Spring Student-Athletes Named To NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team

HARTFORD, Conn. - Twelve Trinity College winter athletes were named to the 2023 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Sportsmanship Team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship. Women's rowing senior co-captain Eleanor Chmielowicz (Chicago, Ill.), men's golf senior co-captain Max Edminster (Takoma Park, Md.), women's lacrosse senior tri-captain Elle Fair (Westport, Conn.), baseball senior co-captain Jake Miller (Marblehead, Mass.), men's track and field senior Lucien Ducret (Old Greenwich, Conn.), softball senior Scarlett Gillette (Andover, Mass.), women's track and field senior Abigail Wager (Middlebori, Mass.), men's lacrosse senior Ryan Werner (Weston, Conn.), women's tennis sophomore Ella Baker (Gladstone, N.J.), men's rowing sophomore Benjamin Bejoian (Sherborn, Mass.), women's golf sophomore Bailey McGuigan (Trumbull, Conn.), and men's tennis sophomore Pierce Rutledge (Chicago, Ill.) represented Trinity spring sports on the NESCAC All-Academic squad.  

The NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes from each varsity sport who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to sportsmanship. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents and spectators. They display sportsmanship, not only as a participant in their sport, but also as a spectator and in their everyday lives. Through their positive actions and example, these student-athletes inspire others to adhere to the quality of sportsmanship that the NESCAC and the NCAA endorse. 

The All-Sportsmanship Team was created by the NESCAC Student Advisory Committee on Athletics' (SAAC). The NESCAC SAAC serves as the liaison between the student-athletes of NESCAC member institutions and conference administrators. The committee provides a voice to represent the concerns of all student-athletes and to discuss issues impacting student-athlete welfare. The NESCAC SAAC represents all students who participate in intercollegiate athletics and promotes and celebrates student-athletes' achievements.
