Trinity College announces Trinity Spring Student-Athletes Earn NESCAC All-Academic Recognition

HARTFORD, Conn. — The Trinity College winter athletic teams placed 87 Bantams on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Spring All-Academic Team. To be selected, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. Transfers must have completed one year of study at the institution. Of the over 1,600 student-athletes honored, 196 earned both All-Academic and All-NESCAC honors and 84 individuals were named to the All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams. Trinity men's squash junior Julius Benthin (Norderstedt, Germany) was one of seven NESCAC student-athletes named to all three accolades: the Winter All-Academic Team, the All-NESCAC Team and the All-Sportsmanship Team. 

Bantam women's lacrosse senior tri-captain Lily Ives (Chappaqua, N.Y.), men's rowing senior co-captain Quin Woods (Lincoln, Neb.), women's outdoor track and field seniors Julianna Kennedy (Andover, Mass.) and Kamila Zygadlo (Wroclaw, Poland), men's outdoor track and field junior Ethan Wilkie (Ellington, Conn.), women's outdoor track and field juniors Gabby Grattan (Milton, Mass.), Sophia Jones (San Anslemo, Calif.), Cate Kneebone (Winchester, Mass.), and Kennedy Mullen (Wilder, Vt.), women's rowing sophomores Camille Schubert (Lake Oswego, Oregon) and Alley Johnson (Lincolnville, Maine), and softball sophomore Taylor Mikolajczak (Johns Creek, Ga.) were each named to both the Spring All-Academic Team and the All-NESCAC Team. Trinity's women's rowing senior co-captain Eleanor Chmielowicz (Chicago, Ill.), men's golf senior co-captain Max Edminster (Takoma Park, Md.), women's lacrosse senior tri-captain Elle Fair (Westport, Conn.), men's outdoor track and field senior Lucien Ducret (Old Greenwich, Conn.), softball senior Scarlett Gillette (Andover, Mass.), and women's tennis sophomore Ella Baker (Gladstone, N.J.) graced both the NESCAC All-Academic and All-Sportsmanship Teams this winter.
