Trinity College announces Trinity's Mikolajczak Earns CSC Academic All-District Softball Honors
HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College sophomore Taylor Mikolajczak (Johns Creek, Ga.) was named to the 2022-23 CSC Division III Academic All-District Softball Team. The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball and softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Trinity softball, coached by Mackenzie Keyes (1st Season), finished the 2023 season with a 13-20 overall record and in sixth place in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with an 8-10 division mark. Trinity qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the 11th time, falling to Williams, 1-0, in the quarterfinal round.
Mikolajczak hit .393 this season and totaled team-highs of 26 runs, 44 hits, three home runs, 18 stolen bases in 19 attempts, a .527 slugging percentage and a .433 on-base percentage. She also finished the year with four doubles, a triple, and nine RBIs with a .943 fielding percentage at shortstop. As a rookie in 2022, Mikolajczak was one of 10 finalists for the 2022 Schutt Sports/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III National Freshman of the Year award, an NFCA Division III All-Region Third Team and All-NESCAC First Team selection, and the NESCAC Softball Rookie of the Year. A graduate of Chattahoochee High School, Mikolajczak is majoring in biology at Trinity. She is the daughter of Heather and Steven Mikolajczak.
