Thomas University announces Humphries Punches NAIA Outdoor National Ticket
MARIETTA, GA–The Thomas University men's track and field team headed to a familiar fairground this past Friday for the Life University Life Chance meet. One Night Hawk continued his strong Freshman season by notching a NAIA B' Standard Qualifying time.
The reigning Indoor and outdoor Freshman of the Year, Seth Humphries continues to shine bright on the track. Humphries competed in the 800-meter run, notching a new school and personal record of 1:52.64. Additionally, Seth's fourth-place finishing time was enough to punch an individual ticket to the NAIA Outdoor National Championship.
Freshman Michael Eady secured a top-ten finish in the 100 meter run with a time of 10.78 for a ninth-place finish. Eady also competed in the 200 meters, notching a ninth-place finish for a time of 21.96.
Freshman Darian Mills placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.82.
Freshman Justin Hernandez took a second-place finish in the 1500-meter run for a time of 4:11.52. Hernandez also competed in the 800-meter run, securing an eighth-place finish with a time of 1:59.54.
The 4x100 meter relay (Darian Mills, Michael Eady, Kyron Belton, Kasahn Rivers) notched a sixth-place finish for a time of 41.74.
The men's 4x400 meter relay placed second place with a time of 3:32.90.
UP NEXT: TU will compete at the Emory University last chance meet this upcoming Wednesday in Atlanta, Ga.
