The NCAA D2 Softball Championship Tournament is ready to begin with the collegiate team of former Hickory Ridge High School Alycea Gilliam participating

Former Hickory Ridge High School player and current Lenoir-Rhyne Bears second baseman and outfielder, Alycea Gilliam, will compete in the NCAA D2 Softball Championship Tournament.

They begin the tournament as a number four seed against the fifth seeded Lander Bearcats.

The first game is on Thursday, May 9.
