NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) bestowed vertical jumper Bryce Ellinger (Minersville, PA) as the Mid-Atlantic Region's Field Athlete of the Year for NCAA Division III.

Ellinger, whose specialty is the high jump, has improved his game by leaps and bounds over the course of this spring, reaching Landmark championship status where he cleared a new school, Landmark Conference, and championship meet record at 2.08m, which at the time was fourth-best in the nation, and attempted the national standard of 2.11m.

He was a two-time Landmark Field Athlete of the Week selection when he cleared a then-record 2.07m during Susquehanna's Easter Invite and 2.05m at Moravian's Coach P Invitational, while being selected to the USTFCCCA's All Mid-Atlantic Region Team. He is poised to take flight in the high jump on Saturday at the NCAA Division III National Championships in Rochester, N.Y. at 10:00 A.M.
