NEW YORK, N.Y. - A trio of Purchase College baseball players were named weekly winners of Skyline Conference Baseball Awards, it was announced Tuesday.

Justin Doskoez (JR/Eastport, NY) claimed the Pitcher of the Week title after collecting a pair of wins, while Patrick Reyes (FR/Plainedge, NY) earned his Rookie of the Week nod with a monster performance at the plate.

Finally, Jemal Betances (SR/Bronx, NY) hit and pitched his way onto the Honor Roll for the last team honor.

Doskoez obtained the first victory in relief at Manhattanville, after tossing 3 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball.

Four days later, he went 7 1/3 innings in a long-relief win, leading the squad over Farmingdale and helping clinch the Panthers' spot in the Skyline Conference Playoffs.

At the plate, Reyes went 17 for 33 with four doubles, one homer, 14 RBIs, 10 runs and nine stolen bases over eight games.

For Betances, the closer/shortstop picked up three more saves and finished the year tied for the conference lead with seven. He also earned a win on the mound against Maritime and totaled five hits and five RBIs on offense.

The awards were a fitting conclusion to a great week for the Panthers, as they went 5-3 down the stretch to clinch their first playoff birth since 2014.

Purchase will now face-off in a single elimination contest against Mount Saint Vincent on May 10 at 7:30 p.m.
