On Sunday, March 24 former Evit - Mesquite High School Shaylee Gonzales competed in hopes to reach NCAA Division I Basketball Championship

On Sunday, March 24, former Evit - Mesquite High School standout Shaylee Gonzales’ current collegiate team the Texas Longhorns won 65-54 against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Austin, Texas, this was the first game against the Alabama Crimson Tide during the championship.

The Texas Longhorns’ next game will take place on Friday, March 29 at 7 p.m. in Portland, Oregon against Gonzaga Bulldogs.
