On Saturday, March 23 former Shawnee Mission West High School S'Mya Nichols competed in hopes to reach NCAA Division I Basketball Championship

On Saturday, March 23, former Shawnee Mission West High School standout S'Mya Nichols’ current collegiate team the Kansas Jayhawks won 81-72 against the Michigan Wolverines in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Los Angeles, California, this was the first game against the Michigan Wolverines during the championship.

The Kansas Jayhawks’ next game will take place on Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in Los Angeles, California against USC Trojans.
