On Friday, March 22 former Evit - Mesquite High School Shaylee Gonzales competed in hopes to reach NCAA Division I Basketball Championship

On Friday, March 22, former Evit - Mesquite High School standout Shaylee Gonzales’ current collegiate team the Texas Longhorns won 82-42 against the Drexel Dragons in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Austin, Texas, this was the first game against the Drexel Dragons during the championship.

The Texas Longhorns’ next game will take place on Sunday, March 24 at 5 p.m. in Austin, Texas against Alabama Crimson Tide.
