Ohio University announces Ohio Women's Golf Completes the Given Any Tuesday Intercollegiate in 16th

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, SC -- Ohio's women's golf team finished the Golfweek Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate this afternoon (3/29). After three days of golf on a par 71 course, the Bobcats placed 16th overall with a total score of 931 (+79).The team shot 301 in round one, 316 in round two, and finished the final round shooting a 314. Other teams competing were: James Madison, UNCG, UNC Asheville, FGU, East Carolina, North Dakota State, UIC, Coastal Carolina, Morehead State, Northern Colorado, Marshall, Akron, Evansville, Gardner-Webb, St. Thomas, and Western Illinois. Individually, Mackenzie McRee led the Ohio Bobcats in the three day tournament, finishing in 24th place. Overall McRee shot a 224 (+11), shooting a 72 in round one, a 78 in round two, and finished with a 74 in round three. Not far behind was Thanya Arasu in 51st place with a final score of 233 (+20). Next for Ohio was Mariana Vega-Rivera shooting a 235 (+22), putting her in 57th place. Avery Ovens followed in 73rd place with a score of 241 (+28), and Sydney Longstreth finished out for the team in 84th place shooting 246 (+33). Competing as an individual from Ohio was Sloane Post, securing 82nd place with a final score of 245 (+32).The first-place golfer for the 2023 Golfweek Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate was Sara Sarrion from Coastal Carolina, finishing the tournament with an impressive 208 (-5). The first place team was James Madison University with a final score of 865 (+10).

The Ohio women's golf team will travel to Richmond, Kentucky at the beginning of April to compete in the Colonel Classic. The tournament will be hosted by EKU and stretch over two days, starting on Monday, April 3rd.
