Ohio University announces Ohio University Women's Golf Completes the Colonel Classic in 16th Place

RICHMOND, KY -- The Ohio's women's golf team completed the Colonel Classic earlier today (4/4). After two days of golf and 54 holes, the Bobcats placed 16th overall with a total score of 930 (+66). Competing for the Bobcats was: 
Sydney LongstrethAvery OvensMackenzie McReeThanya Arasu, and Mariana Vega-Rivera.
On Monday (4/3) the Bobcats played 36 holes with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Ohio started the tournament shooting a 306 in round one and a 317 in round two. Closing out the Colonel Classic in round three, Ohio finished with a score of 307, going +19 to Par.
Individually, 
Sydney Longstreth led the Bobcats this tournament finishing in 49th place with a score of 230 (+14). Close behind was Avery Ovens in 55th place overall, scoring a 231 (+15). Coming in 67th place was freshman Mackenzie McRee with a final score of 234 (+18), and following her was Thanya Arasu in 82nd place shooting a 239 (+23). Mariana Vega-Rivera closed out for the Bobcats tied for 89th with a final score of 243 (+27).
The first-place golfer for the 2023 Colonel Classic tournament was Sabrina Coffman from Cleveland State, finishing the tournament with a final score of 217 (+1). The first place team was  Austin Peay State with a final score of 887 (+23).
Up Next:
The Mid American Conference will host the annual championship tournament in Kalamazoo, MI. It will be a three day tournament to close out the 2022-23 women's golf season and begin on April 21st.
