Ohio Dominican University announces Panthers Mentioned In Initial Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA released the first edition of regional rankings for the 2023 Softball season Wednesday afternoon. In the initial rankings, teams are listed as "under consideration" and are in alphabetical order.
The Ohio Dominican softball team is mentioned with an overall record of 25-16 and a conference mark of 14-2. The Panthers are currently at the top of the conference standings after being back-to-back Great Midwest Tournament Champions with consecutive appearances in the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament.
The Black and Gold are ranked second in the conference in total hits with 361 and in double plays turned with 17. They also post the third best batting average with a 0.311.
The second set of rankings are scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, with teams listed in numerical order.
