Newark High School standout Katie Shumate’s collegiate team lost game in NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament on Saturday, March 23

On Saturday, March 23, former Newark High School standout Katie Shumate’s current collegiate team the Kent State Golden Flashes lost 81-67 against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in South Bend, Indiana, this was the first game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish during the championship.
