Mount St. Mary's University announces Mount Men's Tennis Drops Maac Match to Niagara

Box Score Emmitsburg, Md. (March 26, 2023)—The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team dropped a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match at home to Niagara on Sunday. The Mountaineers fall to 2-9 overall and 0-2 in the MAAC with the loss.
The Purple Eagles took two of three doubles matches to secure the doubles point for the early 1-0 advantage. The Mount's tandem of Filippos Zachiotis and Jarrett Karnibad edged Niagara's duo of Tanner Bedard and Trevor Masi, 7-5, at the No. 1 doubles position for the Mount's win.
In singles play, Elliot Stevens downed Bryce Bodak, 6-3. 6-4, at the No. 1 singles spot in the lineup for the Mount's lone point of the match. Christos Dagklis was edged by Masi, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (13-11) at the No. 3 position while Pablo Martinez-Zuccardi fell 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, at the No. 4 spot.
The Mount returns to action on Monday at Saint Francis U.
