Milwaukee School of Engineering announces Women's Tennis Swept to End Campaign

RACINE, Wis. – MSOE women's tennis began the 2023 NACC tournament looking to replicate their results of their match against St. Norbert last fall. Unfortunately, instead of another 6-3 win the Raiders were dealt a 5-0 defeat to end their season on a down note.

St. Norbert – 5
MSOE RAIDERS – 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (6-8) had a couple of good battles in doubles play with Karley Way and Gabrielle Haensgen getting the closest in a three game loss. Bethany Noonan and Brenna Sheehanalso gave St. Norbert (8-11) a run for their money but could only get halfway to the victory as the Raiders were swept to begin the match.
- #1 Doubles – Starr/Merrill def. Karley Way & Gabrielle Haensgen (8-5)
- #2 Doubles – Peters/Pankow def. Michaela Haensgen & Hope Triplett (8-1)
- #3 Doubles – McCune/Names def. Bethany Noonan & Brenna Sheehan (8-4)
- The Red & White didn't have much luck as the Green Knights quickly won two contests to end the matchup in the minimum number of games.

WHO'S ON DECK
The loss concludes the Raiders 2022-23 season. They finished with a record of 6-8 but went 5-3 in NACC play. They will pick things back up against in September.
