Milwaukee School of Engineering announces Men's Tennis Sees Season End in Ncaa First Round Battle

SAINT PETER, Minn. – MSOE men's tennis embarked on their NCAA journey against UW-Whitewater after a historic finish to their NACC season. Unfortunately, there won't be any more additions to the record books as the Warhawks blanked the Raiders to end their season on Friday.

UW-Whitewater – 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (13-11) began play looking to set themselves up well for singles action. UW-Whitewater (17-5) had other plans, however. The Warhawks won all three doubles matches to start the contest with two of them ending in an 8-1 final score. The Raiders best shot was in the second spot where Joe Chong and Jachym Smid gave UWW a run for their money but still fell 8-5.

- #2 Doubles – Lindwall/Nelson def. Joe Chong/Jachym Smid 8-5
- #3 Doubles – Adkisson/Baldwin def. Josh Fay/Alex Nakasato 8-1
- Unfortunately, there was no comeback to be had during singles play. The Warhawks quickly won the matches out of the second and fourth singles spots to take the match 5-0 and advance in the NCAA tournament.

WHO'S ON DECK
The loss puts an end to the Raiders season. They went 13-11 overall while winning their first NACC regular season and tournament championships while breaking a 13 year absence from the NCAA tournament.
