Millersville University announces Men’s golf holds 12th place through two rounds at NCAA Super Regional
LEBANON, Pa. – The Marauders finished their second round at the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament on Friday and finished with a team score of 303. Millersville saw improvement from their first day as they shot eight strokes fewer than the opening round.
Jumping the standings was Bobby Lugiano who is now tied for sixth place after shooting a 1-over par. The junior led his pairing with a score of 73 which included three birdies and making par on 11 holes.
Ty Morral improved his second-round score by four strokes to tie for 28th place with four other golfers. Morral finished with a score of 74, which included five bogies on the back nine and a birdie on hole 17.
Shooting six strokes less than his first round was Noah Keener. The sophomore's front nine made par from four bogies and three birdies. Keener shot 3-over par on the back nine. Carl Ernst finished round two with a score of 81 and Christopher Knox ended the day shooting 82.
Davis & Elkins College now leads the tournament after shooting a team score of 292, Jordan Hyland led the Senators through round two after shooting 2-under par. St. Thomas Aquinas' Donte Groppuso continues to lead the player board from shooting 69 through both days of competition.
Millersville will conclude it's NCAA Super Regional action on Saturday, May 13. Knox will start the Marauders at 10 a.m. as he is paired with Nathan Potts from Wilmington (DE) and Mason Rivera from Adelphi.
