Millersville University announces Marauders place second at ESU Spring Invitational

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. –  The Millersville women's golf team recorded a second-place finish at the ESU Spring Invitational, finishing with a team score of 330.

 

West Chester won the single round invitational with a 319, winning by 11 strokes. Kutztown (330), Bloomsburg (373) and East Stroudsburg (416) rounded out the field of team finishes. Vivian Chuang of Jefferson won the individual standings after carding a 76 to finish four-over-par.

 

The Marauders have now placed first or second in all five of their spring tournaments.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Charley Kirby led the Marauders as she tied for fifth at eight-over-par, shooting an even 80 on the day and carding her lowest score of the spring.
  • Amanda Steier and Taylor Hileman tied for eighth as they both shot an 82 to finish 10-over-par.
  • Emma Schotsch was the next Marauder finisher, placing 12th as she carded an 86 to finish 14-over-par.
  • Amanda Wolf rounded out things for 'Ville as she carded a 94 to finish 22-over-par, taking 19th in the standings.
