Middlebury College announces Men’s Track and Field Competes at Plattsburgh State in Midweek Event

The Middlebury men's track and field team took part in the Plattsburgh State Wednesday Field and Track Meet.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Samuel Maxwell placed second in the weight throw with a distance of 13.62 meters.
• In the high jump, Quinn Kennedy and Sam McGarrahan shared the top spot on the leaderboard with a jump of 1.78m.
• Xander Swann claimed top spot in the 400m dash, stopping the clock with a time of 52.90. Swann also placed second in the 200m dash, crossing the line in 24.28.
• Tony Wang finished first in the triple jump hitting the sand at 12.53m and third in the long jump with a distance of 6.11m. 
• Dan Urchuk earned first place in the shot put event with a 12.75m throw.

NOTES

• Middlebury continues its busy week, competing in a pair of meets this weekend. The Panthers will compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University and will host the Middlebury Field and Track Meet on Saturday.
• Wang scored the first victory of his collegiate career at tonight's meet.
