Merrimack College announces Women's Track and Field Wins Merrimack Alumni Classic Meet

North Andover, MA— The Merrimack Women's Track and Field team captured a first place finish with 180.5 points at the Holy Thursday Meet held at Duane Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Jahaida Gabriel won the women's 100 meter event with a time of 12.56, Molly Murnane and Sydney Connolly also placed in this event as Murnane placed fifth with a time of 13.16 and Connolly seventh with a time of 13.29. Gabriel also won the 200 meter event with a time of 25.41.
Emma Faivre, Kaleigh Lane, and Riley Paskow finished third, fourth and fifth in the 400 meter event with times of 59.75, 1:00.02 and 1:00.11. Adreienne McKoy-Sophos finished eighth with a time of 1:01.77.
In the 1500 meter event, Ava Mahoney emerged victorious with a timer of 4:40.21, Samantha LiPetri also placed in the event with a timer for 5:00.81.
Hannah Brisson finish second in the women's 3000 m event, with a timer of 10:33.85, Olivia Beaudet and Briana Farrell finish the sixth and eighth with times of 11:31 and 12:17.86.
Kathryn Sullivan finished seventh with a time of 15.72 in the 100 meter hurdle event.
Carla Bouchrouche and Sophia Beland finished second and third in the 3000 m steeplechase with times of 12:56.23 and 13:04.60.
The 4x100 relay team of Jahaida Gabriel, Hunter Laubstein, Sydney Connolly, Emma Faivre finished 2nd in the event with a time of 49.72.
The 4x400 relay team won the event as the team of Carla Bouchrouche, Kaleigh Lane, Riley Paskow, Emma Faivre had a time of 4:04.32.
Skyler Bomba finished second in the women's high jump event with a mark of 1.60m, Annie Towler finished fifth in the same event with a mark of 1.50m and Molly O'Donnell had a mark of 1.45m finishing sixth.
Skyler Bomba also finished second in the high jump event with a mark of 3.70 meters, and second in the womens long jump event with a distance of 5.57 meters.
Tess Rancourt finished second in the shot put event with a throw of 11.85 meters, Makayla Champagne finished eighth with a throw of 10.15m. Champagne also finished second in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.97 meters,
Cameron Zuliani won the womens discus throw with a distance of 40.03 meters.
Skylar DiMartino finished second in the javelin throw with a distance of 39.18 meters, Alana Johnson finished third with a distance of 35.94 meters, Anna Gardner also placed eighth with a distance of 29.10 meters.
