Merrimack College announces Women's Track and Field Finishes Sixth in Black and Gold Invitational

Smithfield R.I.— The Merrimack Women's Track and Field team finished sixth in the Black and Gold Invitational this past weekend, highlighted by Skyler Bomba's win and new meet record in the women's pole vault final.
Notes and Numbers:
- Skyler Bomba won her women's pole vault event with a mark of 3.80m, which is a new Black and Gold meet record, beating the mark by 0.10m. She also finished seventh in the women's long jump event with a distance of 5.54m.
- Tess Rancourt finished fourth in the women's shot put with a mark of 11.86m.
- Skylar DiMartino placed fifth in the women's javelin final with a mark of 40.96m.
- Makayla Champagne finished sixth in women's discus with a mark of 38.30m and eighth in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 47.46m.
- Cameron Zuliani finished seventh in the women's discus with a mark of 38.27m.
- Molly O'Donnell tied for seventh in the women's high jump final with a distance of 1.52m.
- Hannah Brisson finished second in the women's 10,000m final with a time of 37:31.28.
- The relay team of Carla Bouchrouche, Kaleigh Lane, Riley Paskow and Emma Faivre finished fifth with a time of 4:06.57.
- Carla Bouchrouche finished fifth in the women's 400m hurdle event with a time of 1:06.91.
- Jahaida Gabriel finished sixth in the women's 100m with a time of 12.51.
- Makayla Champagne finished eighth in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 47.46m.
- Olivia Beaudet finished eighth in the women's 5000 meter event with a time of 18:44.65.
- Jahaida Gabriel, Sydney Connolly, Kathryn Sullivan, and Emma Faivre finished eighth in the 4x100 relay with a time of 50.64.
- Kaleigh Lane finished ninth in the women's 400m with a time of 1:01.10.
