Merrimack College announces Couture Wins NEC Track Male Athlete of the Week

After a terrific performance at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships held Thursday and Friday afternoon, junior Cory Couture of the Merrimack College men's track and field program earned NEC Male Athlete of the Week honors, as announced by the league Tuesday.

Cory Couture won the Men's 400-meter final with a time of 48.10. He also finished fourth in the 200-meter final with a time of 21.67. On Thursday, Cory set a new school record of 21.61 in the 200m Preliminaries. This is his second time having the honor this season.
