Mercer University announces Track And Field Opens Season At Yellow Jacket Invitational

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer track and field team opens its 2023 outdoor season at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta hosted by Georgia Tech. The Invitational is from Friday March 17 to Saturday March 18.

Mercer's first event on Friday is the 1,500-meter run at 6:30 p.m.
The Bears return a good amount of experience to this year's team. Senior Tara Davis is a two-time SoCon Championship Finalist and is a two-time All-SoCon selection.
Also, returning is sophomore Ariel Raggs who last year as a freshman set the Mercer school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.36 and finished second in the 400IH at the SoCon Championships last season.
