Men's Basketball Surges Past Edgewood

The Benedictine University men's basketball team scored 52 points in the paint and led the entire game in taking down Edgewood 81-65 at home to nab a second consecutive key conference victory. Andrew Stokes finished 11-of-13 from the field while notching 26 points in the victory, adding six rebounds and two assists. Marvin Agwomoh keyed a hot start by scoring eight of the first 10 points for Benedictine and was 7-of-8 from the floor, finishing with 14 points. Brandon McCoy notched 11 off the bench with Trevor Montiel reeling in 13 rebounds. Benedictine held a 44-27 advantage on the glass and opened a double-digit lead less than eight minutes into the contest. Benedictine shot a season high 61 percent from the floor.
