The Adams State men's basketball team used the same script as the women's team during its game against Colorado State-Pueblo on Saturday.

The Grizzlies used a 44-point second half to erase a two-point halftime deficit and turn back the ThunderWolves 80-68 in Plachy Hall. 

The win snapped a 13-game losing streak. ASU is 4-18 overall, 2-14 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. CSU-Pueblo is 10-12, 6-10 in the conference.

CSU-Pueblo's top scorer was Meekness Payne with 15 points. Makiah Morris scored 11, and Isaiah Thompson added 10. Kolby Walker and Maison Adeleye led the Grizzlies with 18 points. Isaiah Sampson and Sterling Benjamin contributed a dozen.

ASU made 43 percent of its field goals in the second half and held the ThunderWolves to a 32 percent effort. The game featured nine ties and six lead changes. ASU led for the last 15 minutes of play.

ASU heads for Durango and an RMAC contest against Fort Lewis College at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7.
