Martin Luther College announces Men Compete at Macalester Just Before UMAC Championships
RESULTS
St. Paul, MN - The Martin Luther College men's track and field squad competed at the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational hosted by Macalester on Saturday, April 29. The meet featured the toughest competition that the Knights have faced up against this season, with schools such as Bethel, Carleton, Augsburg, and Macalester competing. Fellow UMAC schools in Crown, North Central, and Northwestern joined the Knights at the meet as well.
Martin Raasch led MLC in the 200 meter dash with an eighth place finish with a time of 23.68, which beat out over 50 runners in the event. In the 800 meter run, Nathan Pausma had an impressive performance, taking fourth with a time of 1:58.93. The race was tightly contested near the top, as the sophomore just missed the first-place finisher by 0.49 seconds.
Meanwhile, Seth Veers took fifth in the 110 meter hurdles with a mark of 16.66.
MLC also found some success in the throwing events with Isaiah Hahm taking 10th in the shot put with a throw of 11.20 meters, while also taking 11th in the discus throw with a mark of 36.56 meters. Christopher Crenshaw saw a 10th place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.67 meters.
The Knights as a team finished in ninth place out of the 15 schools competing. The men received a total of 29 points, while the top performing school (Bethel) earned 128 points.

Up next the Knights will get about a week to prepare for the UMAC championships that will conclude their season. The meet will take place on Friday, May 5, and will go into Saturday, May 6.
