Martin Luther College announces 112 MLC Student-Athletes Named Academic All-UMAC
St. Paul, MN - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Academic All-UMAC awards for the 2022-23 winter and spring sports seasons, and the Martin Luther College Knights were well represented with 112 individual honorees. The Knights also finished with the highest grade point average (GPA) in four separate sports including women's basketball (3.80), women's tennis (3.74), men's basketball (3.43), and men's indoor track & field (3.24).
UW-Superior led the UMAC with 120 student-athletes earning individual academic all-conference honors. The MLC women's basketball team GPA of 3.80 was the highest of any team this winter or spring across the UMAC for a second consecutive season when they finished with a GPA of 3.737 in the 2021-22 school year.
To earn academic all-conference honors from the conference, a student-athlete must finish their semester(s) of competition with a GPA of 3.5 or better.
