Marquette University announces Track & Field Concludes Regular Season in Madison

MADISON, Wis. - The Marquette University men's and women's track & field teams concluded the regular season at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic Friday evening.
"It was a good tune-up for BIG EAST," said head coach Bert Rogers. "We had a bunch of PRs and I like where we are at heading into BIG EAST."
Mitchel Van Vooren took home another win in the 400m hurdles with a personal best of 52.63. His time ranks No. 3 all-time in program history. Jared Humphrey took sixth in the event with a personal best of 55.95.
Harry Baker returned to action and took the victory in the high jump. Baker cleared the bar at 1.98m/6-6 ft. to take down the event. On the women's side, Emma Ludwig finished runner-up with a mark of 1.65m/5-5 ft. to tie her outdoor best.
Kaylee Hopp jumped a personal best 5.54m/18-2.25 ft. in the long jump to earn the bronze medal.
In the javelin throw, freshman Cole Donahe took third place with a throw of 52.81m/173-3 ft. Caleb Venzke and Gus Kasun took fourth and fifth, respectively.
In the women's 100m hurdles, Julia Beck and Katie Dingle both qualified for the finals. Beck rolled to a PR of 14.90 to finish fifth. Dingle followed in sixth with a season-best time of 15.31.
In the sprints, Siani Brown-Carr was the top finisher in the 100m, finishing ninth with a personal best time of 12.24. Alex Lesperance was the men's top finisher, with a season-best time of 11.23 to take 10th.
