Marist College announces Softball Heads to Siena for Saturday Doubleheader

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist softball team will head to Siena on Saturday, April 15 for a doubleheader.
The Red Foxes and Saints are tied for first in the MAAC at 5-1. First pitch of game one is set for noon. Both games will be shown on ESPN+.
ABOUT MARIST
Haley Ahr has hit in eight straight games and reached base in 17 straight. She leads the MAAC with 36 RBIs and is second in batting average at .393.
In their last eight games, Peyton Pusey is hitting .520 with 11 runs scored, Alyssa Grupp is hitting .500, and Maddie Pleasants has driven in 10 runs.
In the circle, Calista Phippen leads the team in wins (10), ERA (1.90), WHIP (1.25), complete games (11), shutouts (three), innings pitched (96), and strikeouts (94). Kiley Myers has a 2.86 ERA and a 5-4 record with seven complete games and 73.1 innings pitched.
Marist was last in action on Wednesday. The Red Foxes won the first game of a doubleheader at UMass 9-3, but dropped the second game 6-5. Marist had won seven in a row prior to the game two loss, the program's longest winning streak since 2019.
In MAAC play, Marist has sweeps over Niagara and Saint Peter's and a split with Canisius.
ABOUT SIENA
Ava Fitzmaurice leads Siena in batting average (.393), OPS (1.021), and RBIs (32).
Shannon Bonewit and Jocelyn Ulrich are tied with Fitzmaurice for the team lead with three home runs.
Fitzmaurice also leads Siena in the circle in wins (nine), innings pitched (75), strikeouts (60), ERA (1.96), WHIP (1.35), and complete games (seven).
Siena is on a four-game winning streak with doubleheader sweeps against Bryant and Army West Point on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
In MAAC play, Siena has swept Saint Peter's and Manhattan, and has split with Canisius.
