Marist College announces Nine Softball & Baseball Student-Athletes Earn Csc Academic All-District Honors

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist softball and baseball teams excelled on the field and in the classroom during the 2023 season. Five softball and our baseball student-athletes earned College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average as an undergraduate, and if applicable, graduate school. The student-athlete must also be of at least sophomore standing academically and athletically while appearing in 50 percent of the team's games for position players or pitching at least 10 innings.
SOFTBALL
Infielder, Alyssa Grupp - Junior majoring in communication.
Right fielder/catcher, Shea Walsh - A senior earning a bachelor's degree in human biology.
Outfielder, Kaitlyn Husic - A sophomore majoring in psychology and child education.
Pitcher, Calista Phippen - A graduate student earning a master's degree in software development.
Pitcher, Kiley Myers - A senior majoring in criminal justice.
This is third career Academic All-District honor for both Phippen and Walsh.
BASEBALL
Catcher, Niko Amory - A graduate student earning a master's degree in integrated marketing communication.
Left Fielder, Colin Mackle - A senior earning a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Infielder, Nathan Lincoln - A sophomore majoring in business administration.
Pitcher, Jack Keenan - A senior earning a bachelor's degree in business administration.
