Marist College announces Marist Softball Set to Host Quinnipiac & Manhattan

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist softball team is scheduled to close out its home schedule this weekend with doubleheaders against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foes Quinnipiac and Manhattan.
 The two games with Quinnipiac were originally scheduled for Saturday, and will now take place Friday beginning at 2 p.m. The Manhattan doubleheader is currently set for a noon start on Sunday, which will be preceded by senior day ceremonies honoring

ABOUT MARIST

The Red Foxes are currently 20-25 overall and 7-5 in the MAAC, which has them in a tie for fourth place.

Marist is coming off a 1-3 road weekend against Rider and Saint Peter's.

As a team, Marist leads the MAAC with 93 stolen bases, and ranks 20th in the NCAA with 2.07 stolen bases per game.

Haley Ahr is tied for the MAAC lead with 14 doubles, a total that is tied for 18th nationally.

Calista Phippen leads the MAAC with 124 innings pitched.

ABOUT QUINNIPIAC

The Bobcats are 16-18 overall and 4-8 in the MAAC, which is tied for seventh.

Quinnipiac last played this past Friday, which was a home doubleheader split against Iona.

Mary Fogg leads Quinnipiac in batting average (.364) and runs scored (20).

Bridget Nasir has a team-high 16 RBIs.

Sydney Horan has team bests in wins (nine), innings pitched (118.2) and strikeouts (86), while Jaclyn Gonzalez leads the Bobcats with a 2.27 ERA in 95.2 innings.

ABOUT MANHATTAN

The Jaspers are 7-33 overall and 2-10 in the MAAC, which is tied for 10th.

Manhattan defeated St. John's 7-2 in its last outing on Wednesday.

Manhattan will play a home doubleheader against Iona on Friday prior to coming to Marist.

Lauren Rende leads the Jaspers in batting average (.298) and home runs (five).

Sophia Kiseloski has team bests of 100.1 innings pitched and 57 strikeouts.
