Marist College announces Marist’s Myers Named Maac Pitcher of the Week

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Senior Kiley Myers of the Marist softball team was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.

Myers had a 0.54 ERA over two starts, covering 13.0 innings this past week. For the week, she struck out eight and allowed just 10 hits while posting a WHIP of 1.15. She tossed complete games against both Saint Francis and Florida Gulf Coast. Against Saint Francis on March 10, she struck out six and walked just one. Against Florida Gulf Coast on March 12, she did not allow an earned run. She did not allow a hit in the first three innings and finished with a three-hitter and two strikeouts.

 On the season, Myers leads the Red Foxes in ERA (2.39), WHIP (1.17), and batting average against (.227). She has struck out 29 against just 10 walks in 37.2 innings, and has a 2-3 record.

 Marist has now earned six MAAC weekly awards this season:

This is the sixth MAAC weekly award of Myers' career. She earned both Pitcher and Rookie of the Week twice in 2020, and was also named Pitcher of the Week once in the 2022 season.

 Marist returns to action with five games from Friday through Sunday at the South Florida Showdown. The Red Foxes will start tournament play with two games on Friday against Iowa (9 a.m.) and #9/10 Texas (2 p.m.).
