Lewis & Clark College announces Men's and Women's Golf Kick Off NWC Spring Classic In Idaho

POST FALLS, Idaho—Freshmen Millen Mistry and Roberta Moore led men's and women's golf on Day 1 of the NWC Spring Classic Tournament at The Links Golf Club. 

 
THE BASICS
 
Men's – 9th out of 9 – 352 Strokes 
Women's – No Team Score 

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Mistry continued his strong play this spring by posting the lowest round on the men's team for the fourth time in five rounds in 2023. 
 
The Pios freshman shot an 83 (+11) to finish the day in a tie for 28th. 
 
Fellow freshman Johnny Pang was second on the men's team. Pang carded an 88 to finish the day in a tie for 36th. 
 
Sophomore Jonathan Westlake was third on the team on Saturday. He wrapped the day with a round of 89. 
 
Freshman Ben Oates was the Pioneers fourth and final golfer on Saturday. He notched a 92. 
 
On the women's side, Moore led the Pioneers two golfers with a round of 106. She finished the day in 31st place. 
 
Fellow freshman Ava Frison posted a round of 142. 


BY THE NUMBERS

  • Mistry finished the day first on the men's team with a score of even par on par 5s, +8 on par 4s and was tied with Oates for the team lead on par 3s (+3). 
  • Moore finished the day with one par and one birdie. 
  • Mistry (six) and Pang (five) led the Pioneers men's team on total pars. 
  • Frison led the women's team with a score of +5 on par 3s on Saturday. 
  • All four men's golfers finished the day with one birdie.
