Lebanon Valley College announces Nicole Kratz Selected as MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week

The Lebanon Valley softball team earned their third consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Player of the Week award on Monday as first-year Nicole Kratz was announced as this week's honoree in a release by the conference office.
 
Kratz led the Dutchmen to a 3-1 week with a .455 average and 1.091 slugging percentage. The first-year had three extra-base hits including two home runs and knocked in four runs with three runs scored. She began the week with two hits including a double and a run scored in a 4-3 victory over Elizabethtown. The first-year had a huge game at Lycoming on Sunday in a 10-1 victory with two home runs and four RBI. Her first inning three-run shot gave LVC a 4-0 lead and then she hit aa solo shot in the third to make it 6-0.
 
This is Kratz's first career weekly award, and she becomes the third Dutchman to be honored in the last three weeks. Kylie Balthaser earned the honor two weeks ago while Lindsey McCurdy was the Player of the Week last week.
 
LVC will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Eastern University for a conference doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. at the LVC Softball Park.
