Lebanon Valley College announces LVC Softball Set to Compete for Conference Title

The Lebanon Valley softball team will look to end their tenure in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth with a title on their home field. The team begins the chase for the program's fifth conference title begins Sunday in Florida.
The Dutchmen are coming off an excellent 26-13 campaign in 2022 that saw them tie atop the conference standings with a 11-5 mark. LVC dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 decision to Messiah University in the Championship game. The Dutchmen bring back nearly the entire roster while adding nine new faces.
LVC will face Mount Mary University in their first game of their spring trip before facing their toughest test of the year in second-ranked Trine University. Monday's games will be against Emmanuel College and Nebraska Wesleyan University. The trip continues Tuesday with University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Marietta College. The Dutchmen will face Muskingum University and Johnson & Wales University on Thursday before finishing the week with SUNY New Paltz and 20th-ranked Babson College on Saturday.
The team will have a week off following the spring break trip and will return to action on March 21 with a trip to Bethlehem to face Moravian University. Conference play begins on March 25 as LVC welcomes Alvernia University to the Softball Park. Two days later the Dutchmen will travel down to Hood College. March ends with a pair of games against Susquehanna University.
The Dutchmen will begin April with a trip down to York College of Pennsylvania for a big conference showdown. The next three doubleheaders will be home games as LVC faces Stevenson University on April 6, Elizabethtown College on April 11, and University of Scranton on April 15. The games against Scranton will be the team's Wounded Warrior games. The team will head to Lycoming College on April 16 before hosting Eastern University on April 19 for a midweek conference clash. The following weekend the Dutchmen will have road trips to Albright College and Juniata College. The final road trip of the year follows with a midweek trek to Widener University. LVC will honor the 10-year anniversary of the 2013 MAC Commonwealth Championship team as well as their seniors on April 29 in a rematch of last year's championship game against Messiah. The regular season concludes on May 1 with a pair of games against future conference foe in Misericordia University.
LVC will host the three-day MAC Commonwealth Championships from May 4-6. The top five teams qualify for the conference championship.
